Hospitality marketing in Romania: on Friday evening, the window table is still free

Marketing for restaurants, hotels, guesthouses and terraces: we line up your Google Maps listing, your photos and booking from a phone, then count the bookings each channel brings.

Same Google Maps search, different business: a salon climbed from position 43 to position 5 in three months

Someone searching "restaurant near me" looks at the first spots on the map. The salon below is from another field, but the mechanism is the same: a phone search, close to the person, and the top spots on the map.

Google Maps ranking report: "salon de înfrumusețare" (beauty salon) from position 43 to 5, "coafor bucuresti" (hair salon Bucharest) from 42 to 9
Grid maps of ranking positions around Bucharest, for "salon infrumusetare Bucuresti" and "beauty salon Bucuresti": at the salon's point the positions are 1 and 2, lower in the city center

Position at the salon's point. In the city center the positions are lower; that is why we track the grid map, not a single number.

43 → 5"salon de înfrumusețare" (beauty salon), on Google Maps, in three months
42 → 9"coafor bucuresti" (hair salon Bucharest), in the same three months

For a restaurant it means the same thing: someone searching "terrace open now" picks from the first results. We track the position on a grid map around your venue, not just from an office.

What we have and what we don't yet

We don't yet have a restaurant, hotel or guesthouse among our public work, so we won't show you numbers from one. We have a salon (the map above), an electric bike center and a themed museum, with the same customer path: phone search, map, photos, booking.

From hunger to a full table, in five steps

A customer decides where to eat within minutes, phone in hand. Each step below can bring you the table or lose it.

  2. 02The map
  3. 03Photos
  4. 04Booking
  5. 05Full table

At 6:40 pm, someone is looking for a place to eat.

Searches made on an empty stomach are short: "restaurant near me", "terrace open now". The person wants a table within the hour, so the first decent result wins.

Google Ads are paid per click. We track them through to the booking, so you know which click brought a table.

A woman stands with her back to us on an old street in the evening, searching on her phone; in front of her, the lit window of a restaurant with a candle on a table

The map picks from the top spots.

Google Maps shows the top results around the person, and people usually choose among them.

A complete profile, with correct hours, photos, menu and replies to reviews, helps you climb. Our example comes from another field, a beauty salon, with the same mechanism.

RentBike Brașov website: the first image shows a cyclist on a mountain trail, with a "Rezervă Acum" (Book now) button

It's not a restaurant, it's an electric bike center in Brașov. The first image shows exactly what is sold, and the booking button is right there.

People look at photos before the menu.

Photos on Google, on your website and on social media decide whether people walk in.

A photo of a plate has to look like the plate in the dining room, shot in the light people actually eat in. We make short films in your venue and choose together the photos that go on your profile and website.

Booking happens from the phone, in a minute.

A hospitality website needs the booking button on the first screen and has to work well on a phone. Every extra step loses a table.

Every booking is measured, so you know whether it came from Google, from the map or from an ad.

If the numbers in your accounts don't match your bookings, we start with Fix My Tracking: €1,500, fixed price, before and after report in 7 days.

A couple arrives in the evening at an already set table in a restaurant

At 7:00 pm, a table is taken.

A full table shows up in last month's bookings, not in the number of likes on social media.

Our report starts with bookings: how many there were, where they came from and what each cost. What doesn't bring tables, we stop, and we tell you why.

Same path, three types of venue: restaurant, hotel, guesthouse

Someone looking for a table decides within an hour. Someone looking for a hotel or guesthouse decides days or weeks ahead. That is why we work differently for each.

Restaurant marketing

A restaurant is chosen within minutes, from a phone, among the top results in Google Maps.

That is why we start with the profile: the right category, hours and days off kept current, menu, photos taken in the venue, replies to reviews. Then the booking page: the button on the first screen, the menu written as text, not only as a PDF, and a phone number people can tap.

Google Ads run on searches with an immediate need, like "restaurant open now", and we track them through to the booking. For a terrace, seasonal hours matter as well, correct in Maps from day one. The report counts tables booked from each channel, not likes.

Hotel marketing

A guest who found the hotel should book on its own website, not through an intermediary.

They compare rooms, photos, reviews and prices days ahead. We build a website with a calendar and direct booking that works on a phone, pages by room type and by what's around, plus the Google profile, the photos and ads on searches that include a city and dates.

We measure direct bookings and the source of each. We can't promise that dependence on platforms will drop; we show you the numbers.

Guesthouse marketing

Someone looking for a guesthouse is planning a weekend, a vacation or an event, weeks ahead.

What matters is photos of the rooms, the yard and the view, an availability calendar, a visible price, a map of what's nearby and reviews. For a small guesthouse, a website with direct booking and the Google profile do most of the work.

Ads run in the periods when you have free rooms. We count calls and booking requests, by channel.

We don't promise a full dining room. Our report starts with tables booked, not likes.

We have worked from Otopeni, near Bucharest, since 2015. The prices above are our public prices.

What owners ask us

Do you guarantee a full dining room?

No. We don't promise a full dining room or a spot on the map. We show you the bookings from each channel: how many there were, where they came from and what each cost.

Do you work with restaurants, hotels or guesthouses?

We don't yet have a restaurant, hotel or guesthouse among our public work. We have a salon, an electric bike center and a themed museum, with the same customer path: phone search, map, photos, booking. We tell you directly what we know and what we don't.

We already have someone helping with our marketing. Is there anything left for you to do?

We can work together. We can start with measurement alone, which is Fix My Tracking: €1,500, fixed price, before and after report in 7 days, so everyone working for the venue starts from the same numbers.

How much does marketing for a restaurant cost?

Our prices are public, excluding VAT and ad budget. Local SEO for Google Maps costs €500 a month, over 3 months (€1,500 in total). Google Ads management costs between €500 and €3,500 a month. A website with booking that measures costs from €1,000, and a short film shot in your venue from €1,500.

How much ad budget do we need?

We recommend at least €1,000 a month and around 50 conversions a month, so the Google algorithm has something to learn from. If you are below that threshold, we tell you up front and discuss what makes sense.

How long until we see something on Google Maps?

Local SEO takes months of work, not days. That is why our package runs for 3 months. For a salon in Bucharest, the position for "salon de înfrumusețare" (beauty salon) rose from 43 to 5 in the ranking report, over a period of three months. Most of our contracts run for a year.

How do I promote a restaurant or a terrace?

Start with the Google Maps profile: the right category, current hours, menu, photos from the venue and replies to reviews. Then a website with the booking button on the first screen and Google Ads on searches with an immediate need, all measured through to the booking. A terrace is decided within an hour, so the map and correct hours matter most.

How do I get more direct bookings at a hotel or guesthouse?

A guest who found the hotel or guesthouse has to be able to book on its own website, from a phone, with a calendar and clear prices. Guests plan weeks ahead, so photos, the availability calendar, a visible price and reviews all matter. We work on the website, the Google profile, the photos and ads on searches that include a city and dates. For a small guesthouse, a website with direct booking and the Google profile do most of the work; ads run in the periods when you have free rooms. We measure how many direct bookings come from each channel. We can't promise that dependence on platforms will drop.

How do we find out how many bookings each channel brought?

We measure every booking and tie it to its source: Google, the map or an ad. If the numbers in your accounts don't match the bookings in your notebook or booking software, we start with Fix My Tracking: €1,500, fixed price, before and after report in 7 days.

What does hospitality marketing mean?

Hospitality marketing (HoReCa) means that a restaurant, terrace or guesthouse is found, chosen and booked by people looking for somewhere to eat or sleep. For us that covers the Google Maps profile, photos and films, a website with booking, Google Ads, visibility in AI answers and counting bookings.
